 #1 - Printer & printing cost reduction
A Biz4Green partner was invited to tender for laser printers.
The client, a major UK Bank, purchased 5,500 ECOSYS laser printers which deliver a cost-per-page benefit up to 50% lower than standard printers, combined with class-leading energy reduction technology - clean and mean.
Original savings were estimated at £1.23M per annum, based on 500-1000 pages per month.
Since actual volumes of 2,300-3,700 pages per month were recorded and consumables costs continue to increase, actual savings are being recorded at approx. £7 Million per annum.
#2 - Procurement Control, Office Products
Biz4Green was invited to switch the procurement of office products to a more climate-friendly alternative.
The client, an international serviced office provider with over 80 offices, was spending c. £140,000 per annum on stationery alone.
Since the switch, over 60% of the company's office products are now climate-friendly, being either recycled, ethically sourced or remanufactured and the use of the Biz4Green procurement control software has reduced the annual spend down to c. £70,000.
